Michigan Library Association Rally in Lansing!
MLA is sponsoring a rally on the steps of the State Capital (Lansing) on Thursday, September 10th. Join us at 10:00 a.m. and wear anything RED. This rally voices a protest to the efforts to reorganize History, Arts and Libraries--let us show the Governor and Legislature our hopes to maintain and preserve HAL. Zharah Resh, Artist Talk
Zahrah Resh, East Lansing artist, is showing her work at the Olivet College art gallery (Mott Building) this month. Join us in the Library Lecture Room (main floor) on Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:00PM to hear Zahrah discuss her work and art show, BLOCK PARTY. She will also host a reception in the art gallery on Saturday, September 12th, 7-9PM. Join us! This exhibit is made possible by a grant from the Arts Council of Greater Lansing. Let's Make our Own Books*NOTE DATE CHANGE*
Come to the Library for craft time on TUESDAY, August 25th, 1-3:00PM. We'll meet in the Lecture Room (main floor) to create our own special books with paper, plastic and cardboard. You can decorate your books with crayons, markers and colored pencils.
