Lunch Learn & Laugh


Join Wise Woman practitioner Mary Jo Ramsey-Smith to learn ways to stay healthy amidst the stresses of college life. Bring you brown bag lunch and meet in the Library Lecture Room (main floor) at noon on September 30th. We will look at herbal remedies, breath-work, energy work, reflexology and other self help techniques to maintain balance in a chaotic world.

Book Group

Get together on Monday, September 29th at 3PM to look at the novel, "Loose Lips" by Rita Mae Brown. The Book Group will meet in the Betsy Dole Women's Resource Center for a rousing discussion of the final episode in the lives of the Husenmeir sisters. Saturday Crafts

Join us in the Library Lecture Room (main floor) on Saturday September 27, 10AM-NOON. We will make book bags out of recycled blue jeans. Decorate your new bag and go green at school! Supplies and instruction provided free of charge--everyone is welcome!

KNIT-IN


Thursday the 18th come to the College Square for a Knit-In! Students and staff are knitting baby caps in the Square to raise awareness and pledges for the Hamlin Fistula Hospital for women in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Trash Into Art

Come to Burrage on Saturday the 13th to make sun catchers 10AM-noon. Meet in the Lecture Room (main floor) and recycle "shiny things" into beautiful and unique handmade sun catchers. We will use aluminum foil, pie pans, pipe cleaners and old compact discs. Kids, tweens and teens welcome! Supplies and instruction provided free of charge---see you there!

Service Day





Join us on Wednesday, September 24th for Olivet College's Service Day----we will create cat mats for homeless cats. From 10:30am-3:00pm in the main lobby of the Burrage we will make 20X28" mats for cats at the Humane Society in Battle Creek, Michigan.
NOTE: We made about fifty cat mats!
