Olivet College Service Day

Join us in the main lobby on September 23, 2009. to make cotton baby bibs on Service Day. We will donate handmade bibs to the infants at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan. Supplies are provided by The Yarn Garden in Charlotte. For more information, call 269.749.7608.

Saturday Crafts on the 19th

Kids, tweens and teens are welcome to join us in the Lecture Room (main floor) for crafts, 10AM-NOON. We will revive the spirit of Johnny Appleseed by making our own travelling packs out of bandannas. Children under nine years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Happy Hobby on the 30th!

Come join the fantastic crafty club on campus, Happy Hobby, at 4:30pm on September 30, 2009. We will upcycle gently used tote bags by decorating them with paint, beads, buttons, fabric and ribbon.

Michigan Library Association Rally in Lansing!

MLA is sponsoring a rally on the steps of the State Capital (Lansing) on Thursday, September 10th. Join us at 10:00 a.m. and wear anything RED. This rally voices a protest to the efforts to reorganize History, Arts and Libraries--let us show the Governor and Legislature our hopes to maintain and preserve HAL. Zharah Resh, Artist Talk

Zahrah Resh, East Lansing artist, is showing her work at the Olivet College art gallery (Mott Building) this month. Join us in the Library Lecture Room (main floor) on Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:00PM to hear Zahrah discuss her work and art show, BLOCK PARTY.
